Terms & Conditions

1. Nature of Engagement

Your engagement through this platform is as an Independent Contractor. Nothing in this agreement shall be construed as creating an employer-employee relationship, partnership, or joint venture between you and Harry Karanja & Company Advocates (the "Firm").

2. Professional Qualifications & Standing

You represent and warrant that:

• You are a duly admitted Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
• You hold a current and valid Practicing Certificate issued by the Law Society of Kenya.
• You are not currently under any disciplinary proceedings or suspension by the Advocates Complaints Commission or the Disciplinary Committee.

3. Instructions and Supervision

All briefs assigned through the platform are handled under the ultimate direction and supervision of the Principal Advocate. You agree to follow specific instructions provided for each mention, hearing, or filing and to represent the Firm's interests with the highest degree of professional competence.

4. Real-Time Reporting

A core requirement of this platform is the provision of real-time updates. You agree to submit the outcome of every court appearance via the Zamu dashboard immediately upon the conclusion of the matter. Failure to provide timely and accurate reports may result in delayed remuneration or removal from the network.

5. Remuneration & Fees

Fees for each brief are disclosed at the time of assignment. Remuneration is processed upon the Firm's verification of the court update. Payments are made through the platform's digital wallet system to your designated M-Pesa or bank account.

6. Professional Indemnity & Liability

While the Firm maintains professional indemnity insurance covering its operations, you remain personally responsible for the quality of your legal work and professional conduct in court. You agree to indemnify the Firm against any losses arising from gross negligence or willful misconduct on your part.

7. Confidentiality

In the course of your engagement, you will have access to sensitive client files and Firm strategies. You are strictly prohibited from disclosing any information related to the Firm’s clients or internal processes to third parties, both during and after your engagement.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate this relationship at any time. The Firm reserves the right to deactivate your account immediately if there is a breach of professional ethics, failure to meet technical requirements, or if your LSK standing changes.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the Laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.
